Gudrun Heamägi is a visual artist who mostly uses printmaking, photography and installation media in her works. Her creative output can be characterized by a poetic and narrative approach. She is interested in endless narratives that constantly repeat in time like mythical snakes devouring their own tails. She graduated from the master's programme of the Graphic Art Department of the Estonian Academy of Arts in 2013, and continued her studies at Aalto University in Finland. In 2019, she was the laureate of the Wiiralt Prize. Her works are in the collections of several galleries, art centres and other international institutions. Gudrun Heamägi is a member of the Estonian Artists' Association, the Estonian Association of Printmakers and the offset lithography workshop "Ubu Noir".
