Artrovert; NOBA; Osta Noort Kunsti
Karin Strohm is an Estonian artist who lives and works in Munich. She holds a master's degree in painting from the Estonian Academy of Arts and has worked as an artist-painter at the Estonian National Opera. Strohm's work explores desire as a manifestation of biological and aesthetic force. Recurring motifs — minks, insects and diamonds — embody both attraction and danger at once. In her dreamlike, often too-beautiful landscapes, beauty, instinct and a delicate shade of anxiety intertwine. (machine translation of the holder's Estonian text, unedited)
