Liis Tedre (b. 1976 in Tallinn) completed her Bachelor's studies in graphic art at the Department of Fine Arts of the Estonian Academy of Arts in 2022. She has furthered her professional training at the Tartu Art College Pallas and at Dedalo Arte Contemporanea in Italy. As an artist she highly values the feeling of holding graphic paper in one's hands – its relief, structure and sensitivity. She creates both flat, more traditional prints as well as works using new author's techniques offering playfulness and unpredictability. Recently she has depicted everyday objects in her works to tell playful stories. She is interested in the universal and timeless patterns of the world, seeing similarities in how nature and the human world function, and follows paths that lead toward goodness.
