Tõnis Jürgens (1989) is an artist, writer and cinema projectionist who works mainly in the forms of time-based media and installation. His video works combine essayism, poetic fragmentariness and the reuse of archival material, and are often expanded by scenographic spatial installations. Jürgens is currently studying in the EKA doctoral programme; in 2026 he will spend half a year in the WIELS residency in Brussels. Jürgens is a member of the Estonian Society of Photographic Artists and the Estonian Artists' Association. (machine translation of the holder's Estonian text, unedited)
