Kati Kerstna

1970–
NOBA

Kati Kerstna (1970) works with glass as her material and sculpture as her output. In her works she looks primarily at the current era, the anthropocene, characterised by humanity's ultra-rapid development with unforeseeable effects on the living environment until the end, and in revealing her themes she uses, among other things, the contradictory character of glass – its fragility and strength. Kerstna has obtained a master's degree in the field of glass art at EKA (2001), has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Estonia and abroad, and also works as a curator, currently in the working group organising exhibitions of Baltic glass art. In 2023 she received the audience award of the Spring Exhibition. Kerstna is a member of the Estonian Glass Artists' Association, the Estonian Sculptors' Association and the Estonian Artists' Association.
