In her practice, Inessa Saarits seeks common ground between art and biology. She is interested in natural and time-changing materials and, in her works, explores the relationship between man and nature, using as elements, for example, tree bark swollen with bark beetle galleries and microorganisms filmed under a microscope. Saarits has graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in installation and sculpture and has furthered her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. She is a member of ENKKL and a founding member of the young art event "Kunstikompott". (machine translation of the holder's Estonian text, unedited)
