Hando Tamm (b. 1980) graduated from the painting department of the University of Tartu in 2004. Tamm began exhibiting in 1999, his first solo exhibition took place in 2000 in Tartu at the Sebra gallery. Already during his studies he began working as a performance artist, appearing then and later both in groups and as a solo performer. His painting is characterised by an expressive yet sensitive treatment of colour, in both figurative and abstract forms. Characteristic is a humorous or slightly ironic approach to chosen objects. Member of the Tartu Artists' Union since 2013. As a painter Tamm has so far had 12 solo exhibitions and has taken part in numerous joint exhibitions both in Estonia and elsewhere.
