Per William Petersen (b. 1955 in Denmark) is an artist and designer who has lived and worked in Tartu since 2006. He has experimented with numerous media and techniques, incl. painting, 3D-painting, sculpture, film, photography, etc. Petersen deals with themes related to the people around us – society. He is interested in people's ways of living, dreams, survival tactics. But what interests him most is everything connected with freedom, the right and opportunity to do something freely, since freedom can be considered the most important foundation of life and the development of humankind. Per Petersen is a member of the Estonian Artists' Association. (machine translation of the holder's Estonian text, unedited)
