trained at Estonian Academy of Arts

Lembit Palm (1944) mainly cultivated decorative sculpture in the 1970s, interested both in the symbolic value of the work and in the expressiveness of form. His figurations and decorative sculptures reduced to primary forms have been rendered in bronze as well as in tin and stone. He has also created character portrait sculptures with lively modelling. He has extended his creative possibilities into fields such as international ice and snow sculpture symposiums and competitions, and has taken part in urban sculpture symposiums, where works, mostly of dolomite or wood, resulting from a short working process are placed in urban space.
