On 6 August the sculptor Tamara Ditman was sent on her final journey from the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. She was buried at the Alexander Nevsky Cemetery. Tamara Ditman was born in Habarovsk, Russia, into a military family on 9 August 1945. Her childhood was spent in Tallinn. After graduating from ERKI she worked as an art teacher at Tallinn's 52nd Secondary School and as an artist for the sports society Kalev; from 1985 she was a freelance artist. In her last years the artist suffered from serious health problems, gave up work as a practising artist and devoted herself to religious life in the Orthodox church.
