Ilme Kuld (1938) is the author of numerous lyrical female figures. Her works have won great public favour. She has used wood, plastic as well as marble as materials. Over the last few decades she has participated in European sculpture symposia, and a considerable part of her figural sculptures have remained abroad, especially in France. Ilme Kuld is equally masterful in wood sculpture and in marble. Some of her works have also been cast in bronze. (machine translation of the holder's Estonian text, unedited)
