Voldemar HAAS (1898, Tori – 1982, Tallinn) was an Estonian theatre artist and pedagogue who enriched Estonian stage design with many technical innovations (cyclorama horizon, projection and cloud apparatuses). He was a prolific landscape painter in the 1920s and a painter of cityscapes in the 1970s. Haas received his art education under Ado Vabbe and Konrad Mägi at the Pallas Art School and studied drawing pedagogy at the University of Tartu. /text by Liisi Aibel, 2013/.
