Tiiu Rebane (b. 1970) graduated from the painting department of the Estonian Academy of Arts in 1999. Painting 2013-2015 TEK, Restoration 2016-2019 EKA, Art History and Visual Culture Studies, MA 1999. Freelance artist, exhibiting since 1994, starting out as a photo and installation artist. Further painting studies at EKA and additional studies in the master's programme of Cultural Theory at EHI reinforced the basis for cultivating existential painting and a striving for realism in art. The main method in Tiiu Rebane's art has been a synthesis of documentalism and distinctive mannerism, with themes of space, human being and time. Works with painting, photography, collage and video.
