Peeter Krosmann (b. 1971 in Pärnu) is a painter living and working in Kaunas. He studied at the Konrad Mägi Studio and graduated from the painting department of the University of Tartu in 2005. Since 1999 he has taught drawing, illustration, comic design and other subjects at the Tartu Art School and the Tartu Art College. In 2015 he was awarded the Ado Vabbe Prize. Although most of his solo exhibitions have taken place in Tartu, his works have also been shown in Lithuania, Latvia, France and Norway. His style fuses the traditional painterly approach with a contemporary understanding of the world surrounding the author. He is known primarily as a painter of cityscapes and is also a highly regarded portraitist. Among other things, Krosmann is also the author of several sgraffito-technique wall paintings.
