Artrovert; NOBA; Tartu Ülikooli kunstimuuseum
Martti Ruus (b. 1968) studied architecture and interior architecture at the Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn. He began painting in 2011 in Konrad Mägi's studio in Tartu. Ruus observes and stylises nature through an architectural and coloristic prism. Minimalist motifs, colour surfaces distinguishing themselves from one another, and the search for hidden connections are keywords of his work. He has participated in exhibitions, mainly in Tartu, since 2013. (machine translation of the holder's Estonian text, unedited)
