MAIKRO is the artist of the Micro Gallery being established in the Ülejõe district of Tartu, who has also worked as a creator before. In the late 1980s and early 1990s he actively participated in exhibition activity, mainly as a painter, and occasionally also creating installations. In addition he tried his hand as a fashion designer, creating mainly alternative garments based on recycled materials. Since the gallery network at that time was focused mainly on representing and selling mainstream artists, MAIKRO, who at the time naturally appeared under a different name, continued working as a stage and interior designer.
