Gerth Kuusk is a self-taught painter who works daily as a designer. His first attempts at classical painting were made in 2012, after which the artist's ambition and artistic depth have continued to grow. In 2015 he completed the classical painting continuing-education course at the EKA Open Academy, and in 2019 the handicraft technology and design speciality at Tallinn University Haapsalu College. In his work Kuusk places at the centre states reflecting the human being and his relationship with an abstract and at times metaphysical inner world environment. Kuusk has taken part in several young art auctions and in painters' annual exhibitions in Pärnu and Tallinn. In April 2024 his first solo exhibition took place at ArtDepoo. For the latter, Kuusk involved his small children in the creative process, who, as co-authors of the works, helped bring a carefree treatment of colour and form into the paintings.
