Sirje Piir was born in 1955, graduated from the Tartu Art School in 1978 in the speciality of artistic design, and has worked for over 30 years as an artist-designer and computer graphic artist. In addition to her main work, alongside design work and computer graphics, she has also painted and drawn. She has been interested in seeing the patterns, forms and colours of nature and in painting from nature. In Sirje's opinion, colour is the painter's main means of expression.
