1978–
NOBA
Riin Pallon (b. 1978) has studied painting (BA) and art teacher education (MA) at the Estonian Academy of Arts, and studied in Germany at the Karlsruhe Academy of Arts as an exchange student in Gustav Kluge's painting class. She currently lives and works in Rapla. She has participated in exhibitions since 2004, and after a break in exhibiting (2014-2019) for family reasons, she took part again in a large exhibition at the end of 2019. In 2010, together with another artist, she founded the Rapla County Contemporary Art Centre, where she organises exhibitions and children's art projects. She is a member of the Estonian Painters' Association. Her paintings are visually meaningful and multifaceted in content; universal human themes are connected with a personal viewpoint and experience, and a certain dose of (self-)irony can also be found in them. In many of the paintings apocalyptic freeze-frames shine through, brimming with energy and leading the viewer on a walk through poetic landscapes.
