Regina-Mareta Soonsein (1991) graduated from the Pallas University of Applied Sciences in 2019 in painting, but in recent years has focused her creative work on linocut. Her authorial position encompasses the subjectification of line, the beauty of coercion and destruction, and the themes of deviation, fragmentation, introspection and archetypes. She has participated in group exhibitions, held solo exhibitions and created expositions in public social spaces since 2017. She has received the Biafarin Award at the NordArt exhibition, the Wiiralt Prize audience favourite title, the best stage design award at the I Land Sound festival, and the title of Newcomer of the Year from the Estonian Association of Independent Graphic Artists.
