Tjurina obtained her education in textile design at the Moscow Textile Academy from 1985 to 1990, and subsequently worked as a fabric designer at the Kreenholm Manufaktuur from 1990 to 1993. Since 1994 she has been a teacher at the Narva Art School, consistently contributing to the development of young artists. Continuing her education, she completed the correspondence department of art teacher studies at Tallinn University (2008–2013). She has actively participated in artistic life since 1990, being a member of the Narva artists' association "Vestervalli". (machine translation of the holder's Estonian text, unedited)
