Mari-Liis Rebane (b. 1988) has worked in the sphere of audiovisual culture as a thinker, idea initiator, curator and critic. From 2013 to 2015 she headed the largest international animated film festival in the Baltic countries, considering her main goal to be expanding and redefining the concept of animation and linking animation with other fields of art. She has taken part in audiovisual field festivals as a foreign expert (jury member of Ars Electronica 2016, moderator of the Prix Forums panel discussion of the «Radical Atoms» festival). In 2015 she began studies at the Estonian Academy of Arts' department of new media, focusing on sound art (supervisor Raul Keller). (machine translation of the holder's Estonian text, unedited)
