Eva Juliane Magdalena (Magda) Zoege von Manteuffel was born, according to other sources, in 1852 and died in 1938. The date of her death is not clear. On her mother's side, von Maydell. She studied painting in 1891/92 under Onorato Carlandi in Rome and in Carl von Winkler's studio in Tallinn. She took part in travelling exhibitions in Estonia in 1927 and 1929/30, and also exhibited watercolours in Riga, St. Petersburg and Moscow.
