Narva Muuseum
Worked in Russia from the late 1750s. Was an assistant to the artist and restorer L. C. Pfandzelt, among other things in the execution of decorative paintings at Tsarskoye Selo. Later worked independently as a portraitist and copyist; several of his copies of portraits of Peter III, Catherine II and the heir to the throne Pavel Petrovich (Paul I) have survived. Painted portraits of high state officials and military men, made sketches for M. V. Lomonosov's mosaic workshop. (machine translation of the holder's Estonian text, unedited)
