Eesti Ajaloomuuseum; Eesti Kunstimuuseum
Õppis maalikunsti Viinis ja Roomas. Alates 1820 töötas Peterburis ja alates 1849 Tallinnas portretisti ja joonistusõpetajana. Loonud ka eestlaste portreid ning 8 vihku kivitrükiportreid Vene riigitegelastest, teadlastest ja kunstnikest ("Les contemporains", alates 1822, venekeelne väljaanne 1828) vararealismi e. biidermeierliku realismi vaimus (artiklite kogumik "Neli baltisaksa kunstnikku", Tallinn 1994, näituse kataloog "Vene valitsejad", Tallinn 2006)
